Our Carbon Footprint, Measured and Published in Full

PGSO Ltd has measured its carbon footprint every year since incorporation in October 2020, across all three scopes of the GHG Protocol, including purchased goods and services, subcontracted work, business travel and hotels, home-office energy, and the embodied carbon of IT and survey equipment. Total measured emissions to date are 44.8 tonnes CO2e.

Against that, 50 tonnes of verified carbon removal has been retired in the name of PGSO Ltd in the Gold Standard registry, from a nature-based removal project. That leaves a net position of minus 5.2 tonnes and supports a claim of carbon neutrality on a verified-removal basis under ISO 14068-1. We have separately funded 2,835 trees since 2021. Those are a nature contribution and are not counted as offsets, because they are not certified carbon credits. The full figures, method, assumptions and limitations are set out below.
