MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

Financial year ending 31 October 2026. Published August 2026.

WHY WE PUBLISH THIS STATEMENT

Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires commercial organisations with a

turnover of £36 million or more to publish an annual slavery and human trafficking

statement. PGSO Ltd is below that threshold and is not required to publish one.

We publish voluntarily, because clients, main contractors and procurement teams

reasonably ask how a supplier manages the risk, and because a statement describing

what we actually do is more useful than one describing what the Act requires of much

larger organisations.

OUR ORGANISATION AND SUPPLY CHAIN

PGSO Ltd is a small independent mechanical and electrical consultancy registered in

England and Wales, company number 12960911. Our work is surveying, condition

reporting and lifecycle planning for commercial property. We employ no site labour,

operate no manufacturing, and hold no production supply chain.

Our purchasing falls into a small number of categories: professional subcontractors

engaged for specialist survey and engineering input; survey and IT equipment;

printed materials such as asset labels; business travel and accommodation; and

professional services including accountancy and insurance.

RISK ASSESSMENT

We assess the risk of modern slavery within our own operations as low. The work is

professional, site-based, and carried out by known individuals.

The residual risk in our supply chain sits in two places. The first is manufactured

goods, particularly electronics, where the upstream supply chain extends beyond our

direct visibility. The second is subcontracted labour, where risk would arise if

labour were sourced through unverified intermediaries.

OUR POLICY AND DUE DILIGENCE

PGSO Ltd does not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human

trafficking in any part of its business or supply chain.

At our scale, that means in practice:

We engage subcontractors we know and have worked with directly. We do not source

labour through unverified agencies or intermediaries.

Everyone we engage is paid at or above the statutory minimum, on agreed terms, and

invoices are settled on the terms agreed.

We buy equipment from established UK suppliers and manufacturers rather than

unidentified resellers.

Where a client requires us to work to their own modern slavery, ethical sourcing or

supply chain policies, we comply with those in full, and we respond to supplier

questionnaires and audits on request.

EFFECTIVENESS AND TRAINING

Given the size of the business we do not operate formal key performance indicators

or a structured training programme, and we do not claim to. The director reviews

supplier arrangements annually alongside this statement. Any concern about labour

practices in our supply chain would be investigated directly and, where appropriate,

referred to the relevant authority.
