ACTION PLAN - TO GO FROM cARBON POSITIVE TO CARBON NET NEGATIVE AND THEN TO BECOME CARBON NEGATIVE.

PGSO have made a commitment to getting to Carbon Net Zero and then to get to Carbon Negative. To do this we have paid for the planting of 365 Trees and will make the same purchase each year.

 To reach our company goals of being a Carbon Negative Building Consultancy a lot of work has gone into this including speaking with different carbon reduction organisations about our aims.  

We needed to do a few things

1. We needed to identify exactly what our carbon footprint.  
2. Find out what went into making up our footprint and identifying things we could do straight away to reduce it.  What was left is the amount of CO2 we needed to deal with. 
3. This would create an amount/weight of CO2.    
4. Identify options for off setting 100% (Carbon Net Zero) Phase 1 of the plan.  
5. Identify options for off setting higher amounts say %150 & %200 (Carbon Negative)
6. Put in a target for achieving Carbon Negative.
7. Put into place a plan to monitor our carbon footprint, and also looking at best practices, better technology and additional initiatives.
8. Help our client to off set the carbon produced from the work they instruct us to do along with helping them with their carbon reduction plans.

From our calculations we will be able to work out our carbon footprint per day.  We will then be able to convert that into a CO2 offset cost.  This will be shown as a line item on our invoices giving the clients to choice to instruct just the work or the work with the carbon off set.   This is where the £1 = 1 Tree comes in to play.

We will share with our clients and our wider network about what we have learnt and what we have done.  In the hope that with this knowledge, comes change.
